Street shot: Eclectic mix #2
A few days ago Atlanta got a little taste of spring when temperatures climbed into the upper 60's over the weekend. Of course, I just had to get out and about to enjoy some of the unseasonably warm weather...and to see what Atlanta fashionistas were wearing around town ;)
While out I ran into this lovely lady who was nice enough to let me photograph her in her cute romper and colorful eyewear...turns out that she's a fashion designer with a name just as cute as her outfit ("Bamboo")!

Chromed out
I came across this lovely color and had to purchase and post a pic (first pic is with the camera flash "on", while in the second pic the flash is "off"):
This is Savvy Nail Lacquer's "Chrome" nail polish; this brand is available at your local Atlanta area Sally's Beauty Supply store (mine was purchased from the North Druid Hills location.)

Feature: Jungle Boogie Crew
If you watch America's Best Dance Crew, then you'll certainly recognize these faces! The unique style of Atlanta's own "Jungle Boogie Crew" is a reflection of the true culture of hip-hop, mixed with their own individual urban chic influences. Each member has their own separate influence which ranges from 80's and 90's music, Qwen Stefani, Usher and even Mr. Rogers.
In regards to their name, each member represents a certain "jungle" animal/creature (penguin, zebra, cheetah, lion, monkey, jaguar, scorpion, preying mantis) that complements their unique individual style of dance.
Peach City Style wishes this fashion-foward boogie down crew from Atlanta much success!
*Special thanks to group manager Candis Taylor for letting us feature photography of Jungle Boogie Crew!

More than Just a Suit
“What does a suit mean to you?”
That was the question asked at a meeting I recently attended at Dress for Success Atlanta, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower disadvantaged women by providing them with professional attire and career development tools to aid them in obtaining gainful employment and success within the modern workplace:I thought back to the first professional suit I ever bought for myself. It was a navy blue Kasper brand dress suit with a knee-length skirt and button-down single-breasted blazer. It was my “interviewing suit.” When I looked at myself in the mirror with that suit on, the image was a reflection of confidence. Putting on that suit helped me to see myself as the professional person that I knew I was. It gave me confidence and helped instill a positive attitude about myself when interviewing.
It is imperative that a person seeking employment be equipped with the proper tools for securing a job. Having the necessary attire is an essential tool; one that many of us often take for granted when we are going on our very own job interviews. How would you feel if you didn’t have an “interviewing suit” or dress or the means to purchase one? Many disadvantaged women in Atlanta are in that exact situation – and need your help.
Peach City Style is happy to announce that we are currently accepting your dress and clothing donations to benefit Dress for Success Atlanta. We are currently seeking your donations of:
